Sound Healing & Vocal Toning
Healing Through Voice, Vibration & Resonance
Sound has a remarkable ability to reach places that words sometimes cannot.
Sound Healing & Vocal Toning is a gentle, immersive practice using voice, vibration, resonance, breath and intentional sound to create space for deep relaxation, grounding, reflection and inner connection.
Rather than trying to analyse or mentally work through everything you are experiencing, sound invites you to simply listen, receive and feel.
Sessions are intuitive and created in the moment, allowing the sound to unfold naturally rather than following a rigid formula.
What Is Sound Healing?
Sound healing uses vibration, resonance and intentional sound as part of a meditative and restorative experience.
Sound naturally draws our attention away from constant thought and toward the present moment. As the body becomes still and the mind begins to quieten, many people experience a greater sense of spaciousness, calm and connection with themselves.
My approach may incorporate intuitive voice, sustained tones, harmonics, rhythm, breath, silence and other layers of sound where appropriate.
The intention is not to force an experience or make something happen.
It is to create a supportive space where you can soften, listen inwardly and allow whatever needs your attention to arise naturally.
What Is Vocal Toning?
Vocal toning uses sustained sounds, vowels, humming and natural vocal resonance rather than lyrics or a fixed melody.
The human voice is one of our most immediate and personal instruments. We feel our own voice not only as sound through the ears, but as vibration throughout the body. Emerging research into vocal toning has also explored its potential to support relaxation, meditation and emotional wellbeing.
During a session, I may use intuitive vocal tones and harmonics to create layers of sound around you. At times you may simply receive and listen. At other times, if it feels appropriate, you may be invited to breathe, hum or gently tone yourself.
There is no need to be able to sing.
There is no right note to find and nothing to perform.
The focus is on experiencing the voice as vibration, expression and presence.
A Space to Become Still
We spend so much of our lives thinking, analysing, planning, responding and doing.
Sound creates an opportunity to move out of that constant mental activity and simply be present.
People experience sound differently. You may notice physical relaxation, emotion, warmth, tingling, imagery, memories, a meditative state or simply a quiet sense of peace.
You may also experience very little beyond feeling rested — and that is perfectly okay.
There is no experience you are supposed to have.
What Happens During a Sound Healing Session?
Each session is approached intuitively and respectfully.
You will be given time to settle, become comfortable and bring your awareness into the present moment.
From there, sound is gradually introduced through voice, toning, resonance, rhythm and silence.
Rather than filling every moment with sound, I also allow space between tones so that you have time to receive and integrate what you are experiencing.
The session gradually returns to stillness, followed by a short period to ground and reconnect before continuing with your day.
Sound, Energy & Intention
Within many spiritual traditions, sound has long been used alongside prayer, ceremony, meditation, chanting and ritual.
My work approaches sound from a similarly intentional space while remaining gentle, grounded and non-dogmatic.
I do not believe healing needs to be forced.
Sound can instead become a doorway — creating an environment in which you can reconnect with your own inner awareness, breath, body, energy and sense of self.
Your sovereignty remains central throughout the process.
Sound Healing & Sound Journeys — What Is the Difference?
Although they overlap, they are offered with different intentions.
A Sound Healing & Vocal Toning session is focused more specifically on the individual experience of receiving intentional sound, voice and resonance within a healing or reflective space.
My Sound Journeys and Drum Circles are broader immersive experiences that may be created for groups, ceremonies, retreats, festivals and private events and may incorporate rhythm, percussion, guided meditation and other elements.

Come Back to Your Own Rhythm
Sometimes we do not need more information.
We need quiet.
We need space.
We need an opportunity to step away from the noise around us long enough to hear ourselves again.
Sound Healing & Vocal Toning offers a gentle space to rest, receive and reconnect with the rhythm already within you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Vocal toning uses sustained vocal sounds, humming, vowels and natural resonance rather than conventional singing, lyrics or a fixed melody. It allows the voice to be experienced primarily as sound and vibration.
Not at all. You do not need any musical or singing experience. Most of the session can simply be received, and if you are invited to join in with humming or toning, there is no correct note or performance involved.
Every person responds differently. Some people feel deeply relaxed or meditative, while others notice emotions, imagery, physical sensations or increased inner awareness. Some simply enjoy resting and listening. There is no particular experience you need to achieve.
They are related but not necessarily identical. A sound bath generally describes an immersive experience in which participants receive layers of sound, often in a group. My Sound Healing & Vocal Toning sessions place particular emphasis on voice, intentional toning, resonance and the individual experience.
Sound journeys are generally broader immersive experiences and may form part of ceremonies, events or group gatherings. Sound Healing & Vocal Toning is a more focused practice centred around intentional voice, vibration, stillness and personal reflection.
No. Sound Healing & Vocal Toning is offered as a complementary spiritual and wellbeing practice. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or replace medical or psychological care.
